Near the end of 2023, Amanda Braun felt that God was putting it on her heart to one day plant and pastor a Covenant Church in Manhattan. That “one day” came sooner than expected because at around the same time, Sam Creagar was getting ready to leave one ministry role in Manhattan and embrace God’s call to another…which just so happened to also be church planting with the Covenant! The leaders of the Midwest Conference of the ECC connected them, and they began meeting together, discussing ideas and dreams for what a new church in Manhattan might look like, who it might serve, and how it might further Christ’s Kingdom work. In the Summer of 2024, a group gathered for the first time to start hearing and sharing their own ideas. In August, the group began meeting weekly to pray and seek God’s will for the church. This fall has been full of more gatherings, meeting new people, going deeper with our group, defining our purpose, and continuing to prayerfully consider each next step. We truly believe this church is a calling from God, and we would love for you to consider joining us!
